Tallinna Linnatranspordi AS received a quality management system certificate
Tallinna Linnatranspordi AS (TLT) has changed the management process of the entire company in two years, as a result of which the company received a certificate of compliance with the international standard ISO 9001:2015. The certificate confirms that the TLT management processes are transparent and more clearly auditable, confirming the quality of the company’s operations. The certification was performed by Bureau Veritas Estonia OÜ.
Deniss Boroditš, the chairman of the board of TLT, said that receiving the certificate of the international quality management system is a great recognition both for the company’s employees and for the entire operation. “Two years ago, the TLT Supervisory Board decided that the management systems and processes of that time were outdated and that the TLT must become more transparent, modern, and sustainable. The whole team has worked hard to implement the changes,” said Boroditš.
Otto Popel, Member of the Board of TLT and Quality Management System Development Project, added that the growth of the management quality of the entire company and service is especially important – the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certificate is awarded only to companies that move towards paperless management. “It ensures reliability and secure storage of knowledge and data. In addition, in the event of a change of personnel, all the necessary information has been preserved in the company and is easier to perceive,” Popel added.
Popel described that the development of a quality management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and obtaining the corresponding certificate took almost two years. “The international certificate gives our partners, from whom we procure services and products for the operation of public transport, the assurance that transparent processes are ensured in our company,” Popel emphasized.
He stated that the international quality management system certificate is not only recognition but also a commitment to continuously improve processes and continuously improve the quality of service. “Thanks to the certificate, we can confirm that the quality of our public transport can be even better and more efficient in the future,” Popel confirmed.
Tiit Hindreus, head of Bureau Veritas Estonia OÜ, said that the thorough audit of the company showed that the TLT team has implemented major changes in the company’s management processes and done a great job, deserving of receiving the ISO 9001:2015 certificate. “In fact, there are only a few companies in the transport sector that have a quality management system certificate, which proves that the provision of passenger transport services, maintenance, and repair of public transport vehicles is at a very higher level like in TLT,” Hindreus confirmed.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard that defines the basic requirements of a quality management system to ensure that the promises made to the customer are fulfilled. The international standard ISO 9001:2015 is based on recognized principles of quality management, the most important of which is customer focus. The implementation of ISO 9001:2015 ensures that customers receive high-quality goods and services in accordance with their expectations, which in turn promotes stable operations and ensures the company’s profitability.
