WHAT IS SOCIAL TRANSPORT AND WHO IS IT FOR
The purpose of social transport service is to ensure that people with special needs have the opportunity to primarily go to work and school, and use public services. The service is intended for people whose needs assessment has shown that their disability prevents them from using personal or public transport. The needs assessment is carried out by the social welfare department of Tallinn district government.

SOCIAL TRANSPORT USER REMINDER
Planned trips. You can always check trip details (departure time, driver’s name) in the social transport information system.
The schedule shows the bus departure time. Please be at the stop a few minutes before the scheduled time. The bus will wait for you up to 3 minutes and then leave for the next client.
Validate your trip. When boarding the bus, make sure to validate your trip by placing your travel card in the designated spot. If you have difficulty validating, your escort or the bus driver can help.
Don’t want to travel. If your plans change, notify us as soon as possible through the information system (24/7). By phone 5651133 and eriveod@tlt.ee during working hours. This helps us avoid unnecessary trips and saves time.
Safety is important to us. Please always use the seatbelt. If you cannot fasten the seatbelt yourself, your escort will do it. At the end of the trip, unfasten the seatbelt yourself or your escort will help. The bus driver cannot start the journey if the seatbelt is not fastened.
Client handover/receiver. We have agreed that an escort will accompany to and from the bus. Provide both contacts when submitting travel requests for best service.
Stay seated during the trip. Please do not disturb the driver during the journey, as focusing on driving ensures safe travel.
Need for client escort. If the client needs an escort due to health conditions (aggressiveness, specific seating needs), the parent, caregiver, or guardian arranges the escort. The need for an escort must be indicated in the travel request.
When using a wheelchair, it’s important to know if it’s safe for you to sit in the wheelchair during the trip or if you need to transfer to a bus seat. The seller provides information about the wheelchair.
When using a walking frame, bus entry is only through the side door. For safety reasons, we cannot lift you with the lift (risk of falling) which is designed for wheelchairs.
Is your travel right valid? You can see the decision validity date in self-service; if necessary, renew your travel right by contacting the social welfare department of your district government.
Update contact information. You can update your data in the social transport self-service environment. We recommend adding an email address in the communication field if you don’t have one yet. After confirming your email address, we’ll send a confirmation email. Please check your mailbox, open the email, and click the link to confirm your email address.
Have a pleasant journey!
